Teton River

The plant community adjacent to the reconstructed stream bank was solid Reed Canary Grass (RCG). RCG’s aggressive nature is typically difficult to control, especially in freshly disturbed soils. Wetland Sod was chosen to rapidly establish a diverse sedge and rush community that could out-compete the RCG. The after photo below shows the site one year post planting with no RCG colonization where the Wetland Mats were planted.
